Hours of Work: 12-hour shifts on a 4 on, 3 off pattern over weekends (Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon)

About the client:
Our client, a specialist in the recycling and reuse of refrigerators and Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment, is seeking a Maintenance Engineer for their facility in Grantham. This role involves maintaining and improving a wide range of machinery through both reactive and planned preventive maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
Weekend Maintenance: Conduct maintenance activities across the site to ensure optimal machinery performance.
Fault Finding: Diagnose issues in equipment such as electrical panels, PLCs, 3-phase circuits, control systems, motor testing, repairs, and replacement.
Mechanical Repairs: Replace bearings, perform compressor checks, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Documentation: Complete all relevant documentation to a high standard.
Facility Maintenance: Carry out basic facility and site service maintenance when required.
Skills and Experience:
Technical Expertise: Experience with conveyors, welding pipework, hydraulics, pneumatics, motor control, sensors, safety circuits, PLCs, inverters, installation, and electrical drawings.
Continuous Improvement: Ability to identify and implement new methods and procedures for plant improvement.
Electrical Qualifications: Preferable but not essential.
Mechanical Knowledge: Familiarity with bearings, compressors, chains, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
Industrial Experience: Previous experience in an industrial environment is advantageous.
