The Recruitment Group are seeking a skilled and dedicated part-time weekend chef to join a residential home in Leicester to assist with meal preparation. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate cook to showcase their talents and contribute to the well-being of there residents.
Job Overview:
As a part-time weekend chef, you will be responsible for preparing two main courses and two desserts for the residents, freshly made each day. The working hours are from 7:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, with flexibility required to cover any holiday or sickness.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook nutritious and delicious meals for our residents using fresh ingredients.
Adhere to dietary requirements and restrictions, ensuring all meals are suitable for our residents' individual needs.
Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are met.
Work collaboratively with the care home team to ensure a smooth and efficient meal service.
Assist with meal planning and menu development to offer a variety of tasty and balanced meals.
Occasionally cover for other kitchen staff during their absence.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a chef in a similar setting is preferred, but not essential.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a passion for cooking.
