Water Technician
M4 Corridor
£26,000-£34,000 + Benefits
An exciting new vacancy has just opened with one of our brilliant clients!
They are one of the UK's longest established specialist air hygiene and water treatment solution providers. Operating nationally, they work with a variety of clients within High Security establishments, Healthcare, Local Government, Education and much more.
As a water technician you will be required to carry out water hygiene work with some air hygiene works too. This will include monthly water monitoring, tank cleaning, TMV servicing, disinfections, showerhead descales and water sampling. The air side of the role will require the testing of fire dampers and routine maintenance of air handling units.
Water Technician Key Duties:
Tank cleaning and disinfections.
Shower head cleans and disinfections.
Down service disinfections - mains or tank fed.
Water sampling.
TMV checks and disinfection.
Water softener serving and disinfections.
Monthly water monitoring in accordance with ACoP L8 and HSG 274 to include outlet temperatures, inspections of cold water tanks and hot water storage vessels plus updating logbooks. Occasional Air Duties:
Fire/smoke damper testing.
Cleaning ductwork and ventilation systems.
AHU checks and maintenance.
Maintaining accurate paperwork including timesheets, expenses, survey forms and job sheets.
Required Skills & Experience:
A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.
You will benefit from having a plumbing qualification.
You will need at least 1 year's water hygiene experience.
You must be willing to train and undertake aspects of air ventilation tasks.
Must be happy to work at height and in confined spaces.
You will need excellent organisational and time keeping skills.
You must have clear and confident communication skills
Happy to work occasional nights and/or weekends when required.
Able to pass an enhanced CRB or DBS check!Key Benefits
