Example Recruitment Group is delighted to be working with a well-established and growing water hygiene specialist to recruit an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer to join their team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated engineer looking to work across a varied portfolio of commercial, industrial and public sector sites. The successful candidate will carry out a range of water hygiene duties, helping clients remain compliant with current legislation and industry best practice.
While experience working on cooling towers would be highly advantageous, full training can be provided for the right candidate with a strong background in general water hygiene.
The Role
As a Water Hygiene Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering a range of planned water hygiene services across your region, ensuring high standards of compliance and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out cleaning and disinfection (C&D) of Cold Water Storage Tanks (CWSTs).
* Complete routine water sampling and temperature monitoring.
* Undertake servicing and maintenance of water hygiene equipment.
* Carry out heating system checks and chemical dosing.
* Complete accurate service reports and compliance documentation.
* Ensure all work is completed in line with ACOP L8, HSG274 and company procedures.
* Build and maintain positive relationships with clients on site.
* Maintain company vehicle, equipment and stock levels.
* (Desirable) Carry out inspections and checks on cooling towers. Full training can be provided if required.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Water Hygiene Engineer who takes pride in delivering a high standard of work and enjoys working independently.
Essential Requirements
* Previous experience working as a Water Hygiene Engineer.
* Experience carrying out CWST cleaning and disinfection.
* Experience with water sampling and temperature monitoring.
* Knowledge of heating system checks and chemical dosing.
* Good understanding of ACOP L8 and HSG274 guidance.
* Excellent communication and customer service skills.
* Full UK Driving Licence.
* Willingness to travel throughout your designated region.
Desirable
* Experience carrying out cooling tower inspections or servicing.
* Legionella awareness or relevant industry qualifications.
* Experience working within commercial, healthcare or industrial environments.
