Description:
Berry recruitment are currently recruiting for Waste Porters to work in a Hospital based in Norwich.
Main responsibilities-
The safe movement of hospital logistics stores and waste by use of electric vehicles around the hospital site as stated in the Service Level Specification.
· Receipt, sort, store and prepare for collection all types of waste to ensure the efficient disposal as specified in company policies.
Drive electric vehicles in specified areas adhering to Health and Safety procedures and work instructions. -
Report machinery faults including pre-shift inspection of electric vehicles or Health and Safety hazards to the department team leader for action and resolution.
Ensure that all work, records, and paperwork is carried out in line with Health and Safety, Quality and Serco and Trust policies and procedures.
Participate as a full member of the logistics team, through supporting and carrying out training, working flexibly as required to cover other members of the team.
Undertake other ad hoc duties as prescribed by the logistics manager and within scope of skill and capability
Maintain accurate records and filing systems both manually and computer in a timely and effective manner. Hours are 5 out of 7 days a week, 7am to 3pm.
Hourly rate is starting at £12.71.
