WasteRecruit is thrilled to support a global consultancy group in expanding their Waste and Resource Management (WaRM) team. As part of our client's commitment to a sustainable low-carbon future, we are seeking dynamic Consultants to join their UK team.

Role Overview

This role will form part of the clients new team working on projects across the EMEA. There will be opportunities to work on projects throughout the lifecycle, providing services from feasibility and strategy development through to procurement, design and due diligence. Projects will range from small scale incubator developments to national circular economy and waste plans.

As an organics specialist you will focus on projects involving food, farm and garden waste. You will work with experts across the group on cutting edge technologies for the use of renewable gasses. Projects will include waste collection, modelling, communications, treatment technologies and energy-from-waste.

Key Responsibilities

* Develop and implement waste management strategies aligned with regulatory requirements.

* Due diligence of organic waste treatment processes for investors, and public and private sector clients.

* Provide technical expertise in waste processing, recycling technologies, anaerobic digestion, thermal conversion, and other energy recovery methods.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design.

Candidate Requirements

* Bachelor’s or Master’s in engineering, resource management, biology, or a related environmental field.

* Proven experience in the waste management sphere.

* Knowledgeable about UK waste management regulations, environmental legislation, and waste developments.

* Excellent communication skills.

* Experience in organic waste processing projects including as project engineer, development engineer and/or independent certifier.
