Warehouse/FLT Operative – Selby
Are you an experienced Warehouse Operative looking for your next opportunity with the potential for a permanent position? Do you enjoy a varied, hands-on role where no two days need to be the same?
I’m delighted to be recruiting on behalf of my client, based in Selby, who is looking for a reliable, motivated and experienced Warehouse/FLT Operative to join their team on a temporary-to-permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a busy warehouse operation, putting your practical skills and attention to detail to good use in a role that combines warehouse duties, stock management and computer-based order processing.
What will you be doing?
You’ll play an important part in keeping the warehouse running smoothly, with responsibilities including:
Order Processing: Accurately entering and processing customer orders using computer systems.
Picking & Packing: Manually picking orders efficiently and accurately.
Stock Control: Maintaining accurate stock records and helping ensure inventory is kept organised.
Loading & Unloading: Handling deliveries and dispatches, including loading and unloading couriers and containers.
Warehouse Support: Helping maintain an organised, efficient and productive working environment.
What are we looking for?
We’re keen to hear from candidates who are practical, dependable and ready to get stuck in.
Ideally, you will have:
Previous warehouse experience in a fast-paced or busy environment.
Good basic computer skills, with the ability to input logistical data and process orders accurately.
An understanding of stock control and warehouse procedures.
A current FLT licence would be advantageous, but it’s not essential.
A full UK driving licence would be preferable.
A positive attitude, good attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
Most importantly, you’ll be someone who takes pride in their work, works well as part of a team and can be relied upon to get the job done.
Hours of work
Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm
