Our client, a successful North East Manufacturer, is currently looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join them on a full time, permanent basis.
This Warehouse Supervisor role will provide hands on leadership to a small warehouse team to support the manufacturing and installation plans. This is a great opportunity to join a thriving business with multiple sites across the UK. You will not only be instrumental in implementing continuous improvements across the warehouse but will also be key in motivating and leading the warehouse team.

About the Warehouse Supervisor Role
The Warehouse Supervisor role will lead the Warehouse Team to ensure they are engaged and high performing with a focus on improved performance through team work & problem solving.
Other responsibilities will include:
* Measure and manage team performance ensuring the manufacturing plan is 100% supported and that all despatches to site are made on-time and promptly
* Maintain a schedule of cycle counting and routine stock checks
* Optimise the use of storage space on an ongoing basis through racking reconfiguration, use of outdoor storage and the management of returned goods
* Promote and develop a strong safety culture
* Promote and lead a culture of continuous improvement
* Promote the application of 5S to maintain an exemplary standard of workplace organisation
About You
You will have proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Manager or Warehouse Shift Manager in a Manufacturing business. You will have excellent leadership skills with the ability to coach and mentor a small team.
Other requirements include:
* Ability to implement and effect change to improve performance.
* Working knowledge of lean and continuous improvement techniques.
