Hours: 6am – 5pm
Monday to Thursday
Salary: £28,000
20 days Holiday per year plus bank holidays
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join our client's team in Bedford. The successful candidate will oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to safety protocols. With 6 to 10 direct reports, the Warehouse Supervisor will play a pivotal role in leading the team to meet targets and maintain high standards of performance.
The role includes:
Supervise and coordinate warehouse activities, including receiving, picking, packing, and shipping.
Lead and motivate a team of 6 to 10 warehouse staff to achieve daily production targets.
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
Monitor inventory levels and participate in regular stock checks.
Train new warehouse staff and provide ongoing coaching and support.
Collaborate with other departments to optimize warehouse processes and improve efficiency.
Handle any issues or concerns raised by warehouse staff and escalate as needed.
Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment.
Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory role or someone wanting to step to the next level. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Good understanding of warehouse operations and best practices. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Forklift certification (desirable but not essential).
