Description:
My client is looking for a friendly and organised Warehouse Supervisor to help keep their operations running smoothly.
Your Responsibilities:
* Oversee daily warehouse activities such as receiving, storing, and managing inventory, and ensuring secure and efficient delivery of goods
* Strive for high customer satisfaction through excellent management of receiving, dispatching, and quality assurance of goods.
* Supervise the warehouse team and manage day-to-day operations smoothly.
* Ensure orders are processed efficiently and delivered on time to meet customer requirements.
* Assign tasks to ensure daily workloads are completed within set KPIs.
* Follow and enforce all company procedures and requirements.
* Identify and correct errors, and continuously improve work procedures and practices.
* Maintain high housekeeping standards and ensure a clean, organised warehouse.
* Review and manage resources to maximise productivity.
* Monitor and manage warehouse consumable stock levels.
* Evaluate staff performance, identify training needs, and address any performance issues.
* Measure and report on warehouse activities and staff performance.
* Prioritise Health and Safety, ensuring all policies are followed.
* Keep accurate records of all warehouse activities.
* Determine staffing levels and allocate workloads.
* Communicate job expectations clearly and coach employees for success.
* Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues.
Requirements and Skills:
* Proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor.
* Strong supervisory skills and techniques.
* Proficiency in warehouse software packages and MS Office.
* Ability to input, retrieve, and analyse data effectively.
* Hands-on commitment to completing tasks.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proven ability to direct and coordinate operations.
* Strong organisational and time management skills.
* Experience managing a small team.
* A qualification in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration is a plus.
* Forklift Truck experience is also preferred.
Hours of work: Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 5.00pm
