Warehouse Supervisor
£32,000 per annum
Permanent
Hours & Shift Pattern
Monday to Friday, daytime hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm, fully on site. Some flexibility is needed during busy periods.
The Company
We are recruiting for a growing distribution business with a busy ecommerce and wholesale despatch operation. It is a fast moving environment where good people are given room to progress. They are looking for a hands on supervisor who wants to take ownership of the warehouse and keep every order moving accurately and on time.
The Role
You will join a small warehouse team, reporting to the Operations Manager and running the floor day to day.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supervising daily picking, packing and despatch so customer orders leave accurately and on time.
* Allocating work across the team and keeping productivity high.
* Managing goods in, deliveries, put away and warehouse organisation.
* Keeping stock records accurate, carrying out stocktakes and cycle counts, and investigating discrepancies.
* Handling stock movements, returns and damaged goods correctly.
* Using ecommerce, stock management and courier booking systems to process orders.
* Maintaining health and safety standards, reporting daily performance and stock issues to management, and helping to improve warehouse efficiency.
This is a hands on supervisory role for someone who leads by example and takes pride in getting every order right.
What We Are Looking For
* Supervisory or team leader experience in a busy pick, pack and despatch environment.
* Solid experience of stock control, stocktakes and order management.
* Confident using inventory and computer based warehouse systems.
* High accuracy, strong organisation and a reliable approach.
* Accountable, practical and solutions focused, comfortable with technology and happy to lead by example.
* Able to work Monday to Friday daytime hours, fully on site.
Desirable
Forklift licence, experience of ecommerce platforms or courier booking systems, and a background in ecommerce, wholesale or distribution.
