Description:
We are recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join a busy Supply & Distribution company based in West Bromwich. This is a hands-on role responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring goods are received, stored, and dispatched efficiently while leading a small team of 4-5 warehouse operatives.
The successful candidate will have a proven background in warehouse supervision, strong organisational skills, and the ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and support a team of 4-5 warehouse operatives.
Manage daily warehouse activities, ensuring operational efficiency and accuracy.
Oversee all Goods In and Goods Out processes.
Coordinate and assist with the unloading of containers and deliveries.
Monitor and maintain stock levels, ensuring stock accuracy at all times.
Implement and maintain effective warehouse methodologies and processes.
Allocate workloads and direct team members to meet daily targets.
Ensure all health & safety procedures are followed and adhered to.
Operate FLT equipment where required and assist with warehouse duties.
Support the team with picking, packing, loading, and general warehouse activities.
Liaise effectively with internal departments and external suppliers/carriers.
Key Skills
Previous experience in a Warehouse Supervisor role within the supply & distribution sector
Proven track record of leading and motivating warehouse teams.
Strong understanding of stock control, inventory management, goods in and goods out procedures.
Experience unloading containers and handling incoming shipments.
Valid FLT (Forklift / Reach Truck) Licence or have held one before.
Hands-on approach and willingness to support the team when required.
Physically fit and capable of carrying out warehouse duties.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
Excel knowledge would be advantageous
