WAREHOUSE SHIFT LEADER
£29,000 TO £36,000 (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE)
PM SHIFT OR NIGHT SHIFT – 8 HOUR SHIFT – 5 DAYS IN 7.
ABOUT THE ROLE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Warehouse Shift Leader with a leading distribution centre based near Exeter due to growth of the business and team restructuring. Our client is seeking experienced Warehouse Shift Leaders / Warehouse Team Leaders / Warehouse Supervisors whom are used to working in a fast paced environment. You will have full management responsibility for a team of circa 30-40 Warehouse Operators whilst on shift and will be responsible leadership and motivation to achieving a pick rate of circa 1,000+ units per shift.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Line managing your own team to motivate and drive performance whilst supporting them with development, coaching and training.
Working closely with other Shift Leaders within your department and across the DC to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the operations.
Proactively promoting efficient working methods, highlighting inefficiencies when you spot them.
Performing general warehouse operative duties as needed in support of the team such as moving stock, picking goods and processing returns to ensure team achieve requited pick KPI’s.
ABOUT THE CANDIDATE:
You will be an experienced Warehouse Supervisor / Team Leader or Shift Manager, preference being from a FMCG Distribution Centre background. You will have previous total man management experience to manage holiday requests, absenteeism and return to works. A strong understanding of Warehousing Health & Safety is essential with a formal IOSH / NEBOSH certification being deemed highly desirable.
