Warehouse Operator

Description:

Our client based in Dyce are looking for a Warehouse Operator to join their team on a temp tp perm basis.
This role is Monday – Friday 40 hours per week with overtime when required
Job Summary
• Working as part of a team or on your own, ensuring all material (Rental, Product & Customer Property) movements are accurately recorded on the Company inventory database(s) / ERP system, with the storage and movement of all materials carried out in a safe manner.
• Assisting with the effective management of the material packaging / storage as well as disposal of Company waste.
• Supporting supervision and contributing to the planning and scheduling of Pipe Yard & Warehouse operations, running daily reports, and assigning workload to ensure safe and efficient flow of work.
• Operating FLT for loading, unloading, and movement of materials, daily FLT checks and reporting faults to the Maintenance Dept.
• Slinging and banking for crane operations, attaching and detaching the load safely using the correct lifting equipment.
• Preparing and packaging of all materials for dispatch, loading equipment into CCUs and transit vehicles.
• Verifying and reporting on storage arrangements including pallet and rack inspections, preservation and identification of parts, items stored in a safe organised manner, and implement improvements on a self-supervision basis including keeping housekeeping to a high 6S standard.
• Completing inventory cycle counting and reconciliation ensuring stock is accurate at all times.

Desired Qualities/Qualifications

• Banksman / slinger certified.
• Valid forklift licence
• Valid UK driving licence
• Experience in pipe yard and inventory control practices
• Previous lifting and materials handling experience
• Working with large diameter pipe during crane operations
• Experience in a warehouse environment
• Understanding of ERP systems
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge of warehouse and inventory controls and practices
• Good general IT skills
