Warehouse Operative / Delivery Driver
Location: Crosshills
Pay: £13 per hour
Hours: 8:00am–4:30pm, with a 30-minute lunch break
Contract: Temporary to permanent
We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on Warehouse Operative / Delivery Driver to join a friendly team. This is a varied role combining warehouse duties with deliveries, offering the opportunity to learn new skills and progress within the business.
The role
* Carrying out general warehouse duties and unloading containers.
* Picking orders from pick lists and packing boxes and pallets.
* Using basic computer systems to check purchase orders.
* Handling and preparing handrail materials, including pulling lengths from wooden drums.
* Making deliveries and drops to customers and other sites.
* Keeping the warehouse tidy and organised.
The workload varies from day to day, so you’ll need to be flexible and happy to help wherever needed. Some deliveries may involve longer journeys, including London, with occasional overnight stays.
What we’re looking for
* A full driving licence and eligibility to drive company vehicles under the company’s insurance requirements.
* The ability to safely carry out physical duties, including lifting, pulling and handling materials.
* Basic computer skills and good attention to detail.
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
* Someone dependable who enjoys working as part of a team.
A forklift licence would be an advantage, but it isn’t essential.
