Meridian Business Support is recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join the furniture department of a leading national retailer's distribution centre in Armthorpe, Doncaster (DN3).

This is an ongoing temporary opportunity offering regular shifts, enhanced overtime rates, full training and long-term prospects within a modern warehouse environment.

As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for handling furniture products and supporting the day-to-day operation of a busy distribution centre. Duties include:

Moving sofas from pallets to designated workstations
Applying protective caps to sofa corners and edges
Bagging and sealing furniture ready for dispatch
Palletising completed products
Loading and unloading household goods from trailers
Handling bulky items safely and efficiently
Supporting general distribution and logistics activities
Maintaining quality and health & safety standards
This Warehouse Operative position involves manual handling and regular heavy lifting, making it ideal for candidates who enjoy physical work and being part of a team-focused environment.

Hours & Shifts
6:00am - 6:00pm
Choose from Week 1: Sunday to Wednesday Week 2: Sunday to Tuesday
OR Week 1: Wednesday to Saturday Week 2: Thursday to Saturday
Rotating weekly pattern
Overtime available
Pay
£12.99 per hour
Overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate (£19.49 per hour)

We would like to hear from candidates who have:

Previous experience as a Warehouse Operative, Warehouse Assistant, Loader, Order Picker, Packer or Logistics Operative, although this is not essential
The ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
A good level of fitness due to the physical nature of the role
Safety footwear for site
Full training and induction will be provided, so applicants without previous warehouse experience are encouraged to apply.
