Description:
A cargo handler is responsible for the efficient and safe movement of cargo to and from aircraft, trucks, ships, and trains. The position requires attention to detail, physical strength, and the ability to follow strict safety protocols.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Load and unload cargo onto/from trucks, aircraft, ships, and trains
2. Operate pallet jacks, and other equipment to move cargo
3. Secure cargo using straps, chains, and other restraints
4. Follow safety procedures to prevent injury or damage to cargo
5. Verify accuracy of paperwork and tracking information
6. Maintain cleanliness and organization of cargo areas
7. Assist with other duties as assigned by supervisor
