Warehouse Operative
Location: Newcastle and surrounding areas
Job Type: Full-time opportunities available
Salary: £15.10 to £16.10 per hour
Introduction
Our client is a large, well-established business operating within the warehousing and logistics sector. They are looking for reliable and motivated Warehouse Operatives to join their team and support the day-to-day running of their busy warehouse operations.
A variety of shifts are available, offering opportunities for candidates with different availability and working preferences.
Objectives
As an important member of the team, Warehouse Operatives play a key role in ensuring goods are processed, handled and prepared efficiently. You will help maintain smooth warehouse operations by supporting the movement, organisation and distribution of stock.
Key Responsibilities
As a Warehouse Operative, your duties may include:
* Picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently
* Loading and unloading deliveries
* Sorting, scanning and organising stock
* Preparing goods for dispatch
* Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
* Following health and safety procedures at all times
* Working as part of a team to meet daily operational targets
Requirements - What We're Looking For
The ideal warehouse operative will have:
* A reliable and punctual approach to work
* Good attention to detail
* The ability to follow instructions and work independently when required
* Good teamwork and communication skills
* The ability to carry out physical tasks, including standing for extended periods and handling stock
* A flexible approach to working hours and shift patterns
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn
Previous warehouse experience may be beneficial but is not necessarily essential, depending on the position available.
