Warehouse Operative

Description:

JRS are delighted to be partnering with their client in Basingstoke who are seeking a Warehouse Operative to come and join their late shift on a permanent basis. This role will be working Monday – Friday 13:00 – 22:00.

This role is a temporary to permanent, full time position working for a busy distribution centre offering vital support to ensure the smooth running of day to day operations.

Duties to include (but not limited to):

* Receiving of goods and accurately checking for any short falls, reporting to the Stock Controller

* Picking of orders via pick ticket & palletisation of orders ready for delivery

* Replenish stock when directed from management

* Ensuring the stock is located correctly when restocking the warehouse

* Ensure the stock records and paperwork are kept up to date

* Loading of vehicles ready for delivery, ensuring goods are loaded safely

* Maintain high levels of health and safety standards

* Achieve targets set out by Team Leaders/Supervisors

* Ensure the warehouse is always kept clean and tidy

Required Skills

* Driving licence preferable

* Numerate and literate with the ability to follow written detailed instructions

* Experience of using a pallet truck, Reach/Counterbalance forklift licence or T20 a distinct advantage

* Previous experience of working within a warehouse

* Ability to work alone and as part of a team

* Excellent attention to detail

* Experience of working on computer with MS Office knowledge
