Role: Warehouse Operative
Location: Sawtry, Cambridge
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 08:30-16:30. Friday 08:00-16:00
Per Hour Rate: £12.71
Duties of a Warehouse Operative:
Assemble university welcome bags according to detailed packing specifications.
Pick, pack, and prepare stock accurately for dispatch to universities and educational institutions.
Receive, unload, inspect, and store incoming deliveries.
Carry out quality checks to ensure all welcome bags contain the correct items and meet company standards.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages or damaged goods.
Maintain accurate warehouse inventory records.
Prepare pallets and shipments for courier collection and distribution.
Operate warehouse equipment safely (training provided where applicable).
Keep the warehouse clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
Assist with stock takes and inventory audits.
Support seasonal increases in workload during university enrolment periods.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily production and dispatch targets.

Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or packing environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organisational and time management skills.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure and to deadlines.
Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
Previous experience with Pallets.
