Warehouse Operative – Rotherham
Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire
Pay: £12.71 per hour, increasing to £13.58 per hour following successful completion of initial training
Hours: 41.25 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Rotating shifts

Days: 5:45am – 2:00pm
*
Afters: 1:45pm – 10:00pm
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced, motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative to join our team in Rotherham.
This is a hands-on, fast-paced role supporting the safe and efficient movement, storage and dispatch of materials and finished goods across two sites.
You’ll play an important role in ensuring customer orders are prepared accurately, stock is stored safely and the warehouse is maintained to high standards of safety, accuracy and housekeeping.
A valid FLT Counterbalance licence is essential, along with previous experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
As a Warehouse Operative, you will:

Safely operate a counterbalance forklift truck in a busy warehouse environment
*
Consolidate and prepare customer orders accurately
*
Palletise, band and move stock into racking
*
Safely load and unload HGV deliveries and containers
*
Move materials and finished goods between two sites as required
*
Maintain high standards of warehouse housekeeping and safety
*
Follow Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices
*
Work as part of a shift team to ensure maximum productivity
About You
The ideal candidate will be reliable, safety-conscious and proactive, with previous experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
You’ll need:

A current FLT Counterbalance licence
*
Previous warehouse experience, including forklift operation
*
The physical fitness required to undertake manual handling tasks
*
Good accuracy and numeracy skills for order handling
*
A strong awareness of Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices
*
Excellent reliability and timekeeping
*
A proactive and positive approach to work
*
Strong communication and teamwork skills
*
The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
*
A willingness to develop new skills and take on additional responsibilities
