About the Role
All Square Recruitment is excited to partner with a busy, established client based in Basildon, Essex, to recruit dedicated Warehouse Operatives for their dispatch team. We are looking for candidates with a relevant and consistent work history who are ready to commit to a hands-on, physically active role. This position is offered on a temp-to-perm basis, with a real route to a permanent position for reliable candidates, and a steady weekly routine on rotating early and late shifts.
Key Responsibilities
* Pick, pack and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently for dispatch.
* Load and unload goods, carrying out regular manual handling and heavy lifting.
* Check orders for accuracy and quality before they leave the warehouse.
* Label, wrap and stage outbound orders, ready for collection and delivery.
* Work closely as part of a team in order to meet daily dispatch targets and deadlines.
* Keep the warehouse and dispatch area clean, tidy and well organised.
* Follow all health and safety procedures, including correct manual handling techniques.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
* A relevant and consistent work history is essential. Previous experience in a warehouse, dispatch, logistics or similar environment is highly desirable.
* Physically fit and comfortable with regular heavy lifting and manual handling throughout the shift.
* Flexibility to work rotating weekly shifts (6:00am – 2:00pm and 2:00pm – 10:00pm).
* Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prepare orders accurately.
* Ability to work well as part of a team and on your own initiative.
* Good communication skills, punctuality and a reliable work ethic.
* Successful candidates will be invited to an informal meeting/interview with the client before starting.
