Warehouse Operative
Pay: £28k - £30k DOE
Hours: 8:00 - 16:30 Monday - Thursday | 8:00 - 13:00 Friday
Are you an organised and detail-focused Warehouse Operative with experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment? We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing company in Witney for a reliable individual to join their busy stores team.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a growing business where you'll play a key role in ensuring materials and components are received, stored and supplied efficiently to support production.
Duties include:
. Receive goods into the business and accurately book stock into Sage 200.
. Prepare production kits and distribute materials and engineering spares to the shop floor and build teams.
. Pack spare parts orders ready for dispatch.
. Load and unload deliveries using a forklift truck.
. Inspect incoming goods for quality, accuracy and conformity.
. Report any discrepancies, damage or non-conforming items to the Materials Team Leader.
. Allocate and issue stock using the company's inventory management system.
. Occasionally drive the company van to deliver goods to local suppliers.
What we're looking for:
. Previous experience in a manufacturing, engineering, warehouse or production environment.
. Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
. The ability to carry out manual handling duties and work in a physically active role.
. Previous stores or stock control experience (desirable).
. A valid forklift licence or forklift experience (desirable).
. A full UK driving licence (desirable due to occasional van deliveries).
Benefits:
. Salary of ?28,000 - ?30,000, depending on experience.
. 23 days' annual leave, increasing by one additional day for each completed year of service.
