Location: Ayr
Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Shift: Day Shift - 07:00 to 15:00
Overtime: Available (06:00 - 16:00 and occasional Saturdays)
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Contract Type: Ongoing Temporary with Permanent Opportunities

Overview of the Role

We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client for a dependable and hard-working Warehouse Operative to join their team in Ayr. This is a physically demanding, hands-on role within a busy production and warehouse environment.

Working as part of a close-knit team, you will play a key role in supporting the production of animal feed, helping to ensure operations run efficiently and safely on a day-to-day basis.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

Manual handling of 25kg drums and buckets containing raw materials
Supporting the movement of goods across the warehouse, yard, and production areas
Assisting with general warehouse and production duties as required
Ensuring workspaces, including the yard and production floor, are kept clean, tidy, and safe
Working to production schedules and supporting the smooth flow of materials
Adhering to all health and safety procedures, particularly in relation to manual handling and industrial environments
Working efficiently both independently and as part of a team

Requirements

We are looking for individuals who are reliable, physically capable, and willing to work in a demanding but rewarding environment. The ideal candidate will have:

A good level of physical fitness and confidence with manual handling
A strong work ethic and willingness to get involved in all aspects of the role
The ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse or production setting
Good timekeeping and reliability
Previous experience in a warehouse or production role is advantageous, but not essential, as training will be provided
