Monday – Friday from 5am

6-8 hours /daily

Clarkson Evans is the largest electrical and solar installer working in the new build housing sector, wiring over 24,000 homes a year. Established over 40 years ago, we now employ more than 850 staff across the UK and we work with the country’s major house builders.

If you’re reliable and hardworking, you could be just the person we're looking for to play a key role in running our local branch and supporting our electricians.

You will take ownership of the Exeter warehouse, opening up and ensuring the materials required by our Exeter electricians are prepared and ready for collection each morning along with preparing the materials for the overnight driver to deliver to our Barnstaple, Newquay and Plymouth warehouses. You will also take ownership of the cleaning and organisation of the branch.

We are looking for someone with a flexible approach but typically, you will work 5:00am – 1pm Monday to Friday with a 30 minute lunch break. Full training will be provided along with support from the local Area Managers.

Responsibilities

This is a varied role, with your main responsibilities being:

· Picking all materials ordered from set pick lists

· Identifying and reporting discrepancies with deliveries and warehouse stock

· Monitoring and maintaining minimum stock levels in collaboration with Gloucester HQ

· Processing faulty items ready to be returned to Gloucester via internal delivery system

· Keeping the internal IT system updated daily

· Restocking shelves ready for the next day

· Receiving and checking deliveries

· Ordering and replenishing basic kitchen supplies

· Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse premises. Daily rota provided

· Security and health & safety checks. Hot water/Fire alarm and emergency lighting

· Monthly audits

· Carrying out additional tasks to support the business as required i.e annual stock take, training courses and stores assistant meetings.

· Work in collaboration with the area manager to keep on top of cable wastage and electrician store cages.

Requirements

· Must be able to commit to very early starts

· Excellent accuracy, even when under pressure

· Ability to work using own initiative

· Self-motivated with a flexible approach to working

· Reliable and organised

· Good numeracy and IT skills

· A full UK manual driving licence

· Experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.

· Forklift license an advantage
