Warehouse Operative Assistant
Location: Basildon
Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm.
Salary: £12.71
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Warehouse Operative Assistant to join our busy and growing manufacturing team. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive, safety-focused workplace where quality, teamwork, and customer service are highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
Receive, check, and store incoming goods in the correct locations.
Prepare customer orders accurately and load them onto vehicles for collection or delivery.
Sign for incoming deliveries and maintain delivery records.
Keep accurate stock records and monitor stock levels.
Assist with monthly stock takes and stock reporting
Build positive relationships with customers at collection and returns points.
Support the wider team with warehouse duties as required.
Be flexible in assisting with stocktaking and occasional overtime when needed.
Skills and Experience
Previous warehouse, stores, or yard experience is advantageous.
A valid Forklift Licence.
Good numeracy skills and attention to detail.
Basic IT skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
A proactive, flexible approach with a positive can-do attitude.
Ability to work independently and use initiative when required.
Customer-focused with a commitment to providing excellent service.
