Warehouse Operative
A large research organisation, based in South Oxfordshire require an experienced warehouse/stores person for their busy goods in and logistics function.
A major refit and upgrade is taking place, with a large volume of goods being received and despatched daily.
Main Duties
Coordinate, arrange and record all dispatches from site
Package items/goods sufficiently for safe dispatch and transportation.
Use of Stock Control System and registration of deliveries / goods
File delivery notes and signed Receipt Registration labels.
Inform staff and contractors when deliveries have arrived.
Relocate parcels / deliveries to storage compounds / locations.
Resolution of queries arising from missing deliveries and damaged goods etc.
Stock management of consumables.
Housekeeping and General Administration duties as required. Skills & Experience
Previous general warehousing/stores or goods-in and Despatch experience
Computer literate and experienced in the use of stock/materials control systems
Full Drivers Licence - Previous van driving experience would be advantageious
Previous Forklift experience is preferred but onsite training may be availableThe role is available immediately, initially for a 6-month period but an extension up to 3 years is possible.
