Warehouse Manager
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Location: Dartford
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm
Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week
Job Overview
Responsible for managing daily warehouse operations, leading the warehouse team, maintaining accurate stock control and ensuring efficient, safe and cost-effective distribution.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee goods-in, goods-out, storage, picking, packing and dispatch.
* Manage stock control, inventory accuracy, stock takes and discrepancies.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements and company procedures.
* Maintain warehouse cleanliness, security, equipment and organisation.
* Optimise warehouse layout and storage capacity.
* Coordinate deliveries and collections with suppliers, transport providers and internal teams.
* Lead, train and motivate warehouse staff, managing workloads and performance.
* Monitor KPIs, prepare reports and identify operational improvements.
* Manage damaged, missing and obsolete stock.
* Ensure accurate documentation and efficient warehouse operations.
Skills and Experience
* Experience in warehouse and logistics management.
* Knowledge of WMS, ERP systems and stock-control processes.
* Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
* Experience monitoring KPIs and preparing reports.
* Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Understanding of health and safety requirements.
* UK export and transport coordination experience desirable
