Job Title: Warehouse Logistics Team Leader
Salary: up to £39,000 per annum dependent upon experience
Location: Cowes, Isle of Wight
We currently have a vacancy to join one of the world’s leading, global defence, security and aerospace companies as a Warehouse Logistics Team Leader. The role will be based in Cowes and requires the post holder to be on site 5 days per week but does offer the opportunity for flexible working hours.
They work at the cutting edge of technology, creating more than 100 new inventions every year for customers in over 100 countries.
Joining the Warehouse Stores team, this is a fantastic opportunity to work within a fast-paced environment which requires full team participation. This role will require you to communicate effectively and proficiently at all levels throughout the business, interacting with multiple teams such as procurement, projects & production control to name a few.
The Stores team have contributed to major projects throughout the company, overseeing around 30,000 items to facilitate and assist the RADAR Team and their efforts.
Main Responsibilities:
* Consistent daily usage of the ERP system SAP to facilitate warehouse stock management
* Management of Team’s Skills capability, enforcing a right first time culture
* Compliance internal company & Financial Requirements - where applicable
* Complete accurate project bookings and cost capture, Expediting urgent requirements within the area
* Provide local leadership, managing team’s absence & performance within a high performing culture
* Identify opportunities to drive efficient delivery within area of control through use of process improvement methodology

About You:
* Usage of a warehouse management ERP preferably within SAP is essential
* Hold experience of managing teams within a related capacity
* An awareness of Logistics within the MoD or other likeminded industries
* Be able to manage within complicated processes and maintain informative written records
* Hold knowledge of business improvement methodologies
You must be eligible to apply for SC clearance and, therefore, must hold a British passport and have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 years
