Role: Ward Manager
Setting: Neuro-Disability Service
Location: Haslemere
Hours: 37.5 hours 5 Days over 7
Salary: £52,400 to £56,900 depending on experience
Are you a highly motivated professional nurse with a background in neuro-disability/high dependency units or have an interest in this? Are you looking to work for a great care provider who have a reputation for excellence?
Amber Mace are currently working with a specialised client who are looking for a caring and diligent nurse to join their team and ensure the safe management of the ward in their 'Outstanding' rated unit. My clients service provide the perfect homely environment for up to 40 highly dependent patients, who's needs require skilled care, detailed care plans and treatment. The facility caters for those with complex medical needs that have usually been caused by either a neurological condition or acquired brain injury. Experience with neurological/respiratory care is desirable but not essential
You will lead, inspire and motivate your team acting as a role model and provide supervision of the team as a whole in all aspects of the caring process. You will maintain a professional presence within the clinical setting and work closely with the wider multi-disciplinary team. You will also have the daily oversight of all areas inclusing recruitment, resources, rota, workforce planning as well as patient care.
Experience and qualifications:
• Active UK Nurse Pin and the right to work in the UK
• Experience in leading/managing a nurse team
• Previous experience with a Neuro/ABI/Respiratory care or High Dependency unit an advantage
• Tracheostomy and ventilator trained - training can also be provided
• Excellent clinical skills and experience
• Good CQC knowledge
• Problem solving skills
• Good IT skills including Word & Excel
