Help create a safe, reassuring environment when it's needed most.

As a Wake Night Children's Residential Support Worker, you'll play an important role in supporting children and young people during one of the biggest transitions of their lives—moving into a new home. Your consistent presence helps build trust, establish routines and provide reassurance during what can often be an emotional and uncertain time.

Some nights will be calm, allowing you to complete observations, maintain a safe and welcoming environment, support bedtime routines and complete documentation. Other nights may involve responding to anxiety, disrupted sleep, emotional distress or a young person simply needing someone to listen. Your calm, patient and nurturing approach can help a child feel safe, secure and supported throughout the night.

These are long-term placements, often lasting 3 months or more, giving you the opportunity to work with the same home and young people on a regular basis. Many of our roles also offer the chance to move into a permanent position, making this the perfect opportunity if you're looking for consistency and the chance to build meaningful relationships while making a genuine difference.

We're looking for caring, reliable and resilient people who are passionate about helping children and young people thrive. Experience is welcomed, but it's your compassion, commitment and willingness to make a difference that matter most. A drivers licence with help with location.
