Description:

We're looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Ambassador & Volunteer Coordinator to join our Northumberland Recovery Partnership and play a key role in developing and managing our volunteer and ambassador programmes across the service.

About the Role

This is a rewarding and varied position where you'll lead on the recruitment, onboarding, development and support of volunteers and peer ambassadors across multiple recovery services in Northumberland.

Working closely with service managers, staff and community partners, you'll ensure volunteers have a positive experience, feel valued and are equipped to make a meaningful contribution to the lives of the people we support. You'll also help expand volunteering opportunities, strengthen community connections and promote the value that lived experience brings to recovery services.

The role covers services across Blyth, Ashington, Hexham and Berwick, so access to your own vehicle and willingness to travel regularly is essential.

What You'll Be Doing

Recruiting, onboarding and supporting volunteers and peer ambassadors.

Managing volunteer placements and providing ongoing supervision and guidance.

*

Developing new volunteering opportunities across the service.

*

Delivering inductions, training and development programmes.

*

Building strong relationships with local community organisations and partners.

*

Matching volunteers to suitable opportunities that benefit both the individual and the service.

*

Monitoring volunteer activity and reporting on outcomes and impact.

*

Promoting the value of volunteering and lived experience across the service.

*

Ensuring all volunteer programmes operate safely and in line with organisational policies and procedures.

About You

We're looking for someone who is passionate about supporting people and empowering others to achieve their potential.

You will ideally have:

*

Experience coordinating, supporting or supervising volunteers, apprentices or staff.

*

Experience working with disadvantaged or socially excluded groups.

*

An understanding of addiction, recovery and the value of lived experience.

*

Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

*

Experience developing opportunities that improve outcomes for individuals and communities.

*

Excellent organisational and administrative skills, including the ability to maintain accurate records.

*

Confidence using Microsoft Office and electronic systems.

*

An NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant subject
