Job Description
Our Client is seeking an enthusiastic Veterinary Surgeon to join their team. They are an established practice, proud of their excellent reputation and loyal client base.
Being part of a larger group provides them with support while allowing autonomy, clinical freedom, and decision-making regarding the services they offer.
Weekends consist of 1:4 Saturdays only, with no out-of-hours commitments.
The Team and Interests:
Their friendly team comprises three Veterinary Surgeons and six nurses. Two Veterinary Surgeons have been with them since graduating (classes of 2019 and 2021) and can attest to the supportive environment. With Veterinary Surgeons specializing in both surgical and medical fields, as well as an ophthalmology certificate holder, they handle a diverse case load. This role would suit a Veterinary Surgeon with either a medical or surgical focus.
Orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries are regularly performed in-house, with the support of visiting peripatetic surgeons.
They are part of the RWAF-recommended rabbit-friendly vet list and collaborate with a local hedgehog rescue centre. One of their nurses will soon commence an advanced nursing program in small mammals and wildlife.
Equipment:
The practice boasts advanced equipment, including dental x-ray, ultrasound, multi-parameter monitoring, and in-house Idexx haematology and biochemistry. Recently, they invested in brand new ophthalmology equipment, facilitating in-house workups, complex surgeries, and second-opinion cases.
Personal Development:
They strongly encourage personal development, offering support for specific interests through CPD or certificate study. They are willing to invest in equipment to facilitate individual growth.
Compensation & Benefits:
* Salary range £40,000 - £60,000 DOE
