Veterinary Care Assistant

Details:
Description:

Veterinary Care Assistants. St Johs Wood. West London. £25k-£30k.

All you ever wanted to do was work with animals, look after and care for them. You are a kind compassionate person who always puts the patient first.

Something isn’t right.

Under appreciated and disillusioned in your current role and working for a faceless organisation. With staff shortages, you are working longer hours with shorter breaks, sound familiar? This isn’t what you signed up for.

Ever thought about a new start up? Somewhere you can make a difference, in at the beginning, where your voice can be heard, working with individuals who genuinely care, building something where everybody can benefit from its success.

Luckily, I know of one and this one is hiring.

A brand new, innovative, high tech vet practice is opening a branch in St Johns Wood and they are looking for two VCA’s to join their team.

Combining modern elegance with first class pet care they are redefining the veterinary experience and building the vet group of the future.

With beautifully designed clinics and inhouse purpose built technology they aim to transform how care is both accessed and delivered

Briefly this role will involve feeding, grooming and watering animals, updating records, working with team members to create a positive environment for the patient, administering some medicines, arranging appointments and speaking to clients.

They are looking for somebody with 5 GCSE’s or a VCA certificate, Animal Nursing Assistant award, a National Diploma in Animal care or something similar.

Some experience of working in a practice would be desirable but I wouldn’t get too hung up on all this, as what is important is you are a kind compassionate person who is genuinely interested in helping people and their pets.

If you are ambitious and the next step is an RVN they will help with that progression, they want you to be the best you can be.

Its 40 hours a week here working days. No OOHs or weekend work. Enjoy some work like balance.

So, what’s in for you? As you are fundamental to the success of the practice, they need to reward you appropriately. Between £25k-£30K per annum, 25 days holiday plus stats, pension, discounted vet bills and a profit share should take care of that.

They are located in a leafy part of London with great facilities nearby, lovely high streets, coffee shops, museums, a local tube station and within a short walk to Regents Park.

With the best City in the world on your doorstep you can be shopping or ‘hitting the town,’ within 30 mins of finishing your shift!

Choosing a new role is a big decision. You are good at your job, you care, want to help and be the best you can be. Tell your current boss, “Sorry, I’m better than this,” and work with like minded individuals who want the best for patient and practice.

So, what’s next?

Send your CV, don’t worry if it’s not up to date. We can’t get the whole story in a job ad so ask any questions. I’ll answer honestly, no hard sell.

Help shape the future of this exciting new business
