Our client is a member of Huronia Veterinary Emergency Clinic for after-hours services.
Duties:
* Perform wellness examinations and diagnose diseases or abnormal conditions in individual animals through physical examinations and/or laboratory tests.
* Treat sick or injured animals by prescribing medication, dressing wounds, or performing surgery.
* Vaccinate and titre test, and dispense parasite preventatives to animals to prevent diseases.
* Advise clients on feeding, housing, behavior, breeding, hygiene, and general care of animals.
* Perform routine, emergency, and post-mortem examinations.
* Provide a range of veterinary services including obstetrics, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia.
* Supervise registered veterinary technicians and animal care workers.
* Responsible for the overall operation of the animal hospital or mobile services.
* Enforce College of Veterinarians of Ontario and government regulations.
Compensation package:
* Salary commensurate with experience; $124,833 annual salary
* 40 hours a week, permanent, fulltime
* 3 weeks vacation
