Senior Vehicle Technician / Service Technician

Location: Near Gomshall
Salary: £35,000 – £50,000 DOE + up to £10,000 annual bonus
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm
Holiday: 20 days + Bank Holidays

If you're an experienced Vehicle Technician who takes pride in your work and would like to work in a modern, well-equipped independent workshop, this could be an excellent opportunity.

We're recruiting on behalf of our client for a Senior Vehicle Technician / Service Technician to join their growing team near Gomshall.

You'll be joining a brand-new workshop with brand-new equipment, working on a varied mix of quality vehicles and carrying out the kind of work you'd expect from a busy independent garage.

The role offers a good balance of servicing, maintenance, sales preparation and general mechanical work, alongside some diagnostics and fault finding. There is no expectation for you to spend your days carrying out heavy mechanical jobs such as clutch replacements.

What you'll be doing

Your day-to-day work will include:

* Servicing and routine maintenance

* Brake repairs and replacement

* Sales preparation and vehicle checks

* Diagnostics and fault finding

* General mechanical repairs

* Vehicle inspections

* Carrying out work to a high standard and within agreed timescales

* Working as part of a professional and efficient workshop team

The workload is varied, with plenty of standard servicing and mechanical work, making this a great fit for a technician who enjoys keeping vehicles moving rather than being tied up on major repair jobs.

What we're looking for

We're looking for an experienced technician who is confident working independently and takes real pride in the quality of their work.

You'll ideally have:

* Solid experience as a Vehicle Technician or Senior Technician

* Strong servicing and mechanical experience

* Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability

* A professional approach and high standards of workmanship

* The ability to work efficiently and manage your own workload

* Prestige vehicle experience

* Previous experience within an independent garage would be highly advantageous

On top of the basic salary, there's also a performance-related bonus of up to £10,000 per year. The bonus is linked to workshop performance, with the target based around achieving an 85% weekly workshop throughput.

The package includes:

* £35,000 – £50,000 basic salary, depending on experience

* Up to £10,000 annual bonus

* Monday to Friday, 8am – 5pm

* 20 days holiday + Bank Holidays
