Vehicle Technician

Type of role: Full-time, permanent

Location: Boston

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000+DOE (competitive salary based on experience)

Hours: 41.5 hours per week (Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM - 6:00 PM, Saturday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with a guaranteed day off within the working week)

Holidays: 28 days a year including bank holidays.

As the business grows, they are now looking to grow their team and to welcome an experienced Vehicle Mechanic on board.

Responsibilities:

Become a Vehicle Problem Solver: Diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues, ensuring top-quality work that keeps customers on the road.
Maintain Peak Performance: Service vehicles meticulously, following manufacturer guidelines to maximize reliability and lifespan.
Keep Cars Running Smoothly: Perform routine maintenance tasks like oil changes, brake inspections, and tire rotations, ensuring safety and optimal performance.
Build Trust and Transparency: Communicate effectively with customers, clearly explaining repairs and recommendations.
Promote a Safe and Organized Environment: Maintain a clean and well-organized workspace, prioritizing safety for yourself and others.
Safety First: Uphold all company health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and colleagues.
Ideal Candidate:

Experienced Technician: Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician or a similar role, with a passion for automotive repair.
Master of Mechanics: Possess a strong understanding of vehicle mechanics and repair principles, able to diagnose and fix various problems.
Communication Champion: Excel at communication and interpersonal skills, effectively explaining technical concepts to customers.
Team Player with Independence: Thrive in both independent and collaborative work environments, contributing positively to the team's success.
Customer Service Superstar: Committed to providing exceptional customer service and building trust and loyalty.
Valid UK Driving Licence (a Plus): Possessing a valid Full UK Driving Licence is a plus (preferred, but not mandatory).
*** Ideal candidate must hold a Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance, City Guilds, or other equivalent qualification***
