Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester - Surrey

Up to £40,000 | Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm | Every other Saturday 8:30am-12:30pm

Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Motor Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic, Diagnostic Technician or MOT Tester looking for your next opportunity?

This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional automotive team in Surrey, offering a competitive salary, strong benefits and excellent working hours.

You'll be carrying out vehicle diagnostics, fault finding, fault diagnosis, vehicle servicing, mechanical repairs and vehicle inspections, with the opportunity to develop your technical skills through ongoing training.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out diagnostic and investigative work to identify and rectify vehicle faults
Complete vehicle servicing to manufacturer standards
Carry out mechanical repairs and maintenance
Conduct full vehicle inspections and identify non-routine defects
Complete MOT testing where qualified
Carry out Electronic Vehicle Health Checks and Video Health Checks
Undertake vehicle road testing for diagnosis and repair verification
Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults
Liaise with Service Advisors regarding vehicle repairs and progress
Discuss technical issues with customers when required
Obtain authorisation before carrying out additional work
Maintain high technical standards through regular trainingAbout You

We're looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic / Automotive Technician / MOT Tester / Diagnostic Technician who takes pride in their workmanship.

You'll need:

Proven experience within an automotive workshop
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Experience servicing and repairing vehicles
MOT Tester qualification preferred
Good mechanical and electrical knowledge
Excellent attention to detail
Strong communication and customer service skills
A professional and self-motivated approach
Ability to work independently and use your own initiative
Full UK driving licence
