We are currently seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join a reputable independent garage in Bedford. Benefits:

Basic salary up to £45,000
Monday to Friday working hours, 8:30am – 5:00pm
No weekend working required
Opportunities to gain MOT Licence and Hybrid/EV training

Supportive management with a background in technical roles, committed to staff developmentDuties of a Vehicle Technician:

Conduct fault diagnosis, servicing, and repairs in accordance with manufacturer standards
Perform full vehicle services and repairs on a diverse range of vehicles, predominantly cars, with some vans
Use modern diagnostic tools to identify faults efficiently and accurately
Record vehicle condition, safety, reliability, and performance issues
Carry out MOT testing (Class 4 and potentially Class 7) if holding the relevant licence
Ensure work is completed to a high standard, maintaining safety and quality standards
Work efficiently within a team of dedicated technicians, contributing to a positive workshop environmentRequirements of a Vehicle Technician:

NVQ Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair
Minimum of 3 years’ experience within a workshop environment
Time-served technicians without formal qualifications are encouraged to apply
MOT Licence preferred but not essential
Own tools are required
Diagnostic experience is advantageous
Experience working on German vehicles is desirable but not essential
