Vehicle Technician
Colchester
£36,000– £42,000 DOE
Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:30pm (No Weekends)
We are looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our client’s close‑knit, family‑run workshop in Colchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a Vehicle Technician who values quality workmanship, a supportive environment, and a genuine work‑life balance.

Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair faults across engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical systems
Carry out routine servicing and maintenance
Use diagnostic tools and software to resolve complex issues
Maintain accurate records of work completed
Communicate clearly with customers regarding findings and recommendations
Keep your workspace clean, safe, and organised
Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies
Requirements
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent). Level 2 and time‑served applicants considered
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Vehicle Technician
Confident using diagnostic equipment
Strong problem‑solving skills
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Full UK driving licence
