Vehicle Technician – Hereford
Salary: £35,000–£45,800 basic depending on experience and accreditation
Additional over-performance bonus 4k
Saturdays paid as x1.5 overtime 1 in 3 mornings
40-hour working week Monday to Friday 8.30-5pm

We are currently recruiting for a Vehicle Technician to join a busy and successful main dealership in Hereford.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Level 3 qualified technician looking for a strong basic salary, additional earning potential and genuine manufacturer-backed career progression. Whether you are currently working at Service Technician, Diagnostic, Senior or Master Technician level, there is a salary structure to recognise your skills and experience.

Prep Technician – up to £35,000
Service & Maintenance Technician – up to £36,200
Service & Diagnostic Technician – up to £38,600
Senior Technician – up to £41,000
Master Technician – up to £45,800

Vehicle Technician Role As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for:

Carrying out servicing and routine maintenance
Mechanical repairs across a range of vehicle systems
Fault finding and diagnostic work depending on experience
Completing more complex repairs at Senior/Diagnostic level
Carrying out vehicle inspections and identifying additional work
Ensuring repairs are completed accurately and efficiently
Working towards strong first-time-fix standards
Completing all relevant job cards and workshop documentation
Maintaining manufacturer and dealership standards
Working closely with the wider workshop and aftersales teamVehicle Technician Requirements
Level 3 Automotive qualification – City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent
Current experience working as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
Main dealer experience would be advantageous but isn't essential
MOT licence is desirable but not essential
Own set of tools
Full UK driving licence
Strong mechanical and fault-finding ability
