We are recruiting an experienced Vehicle Technician to join our established independent service centre, which has been delivering trusted automotive services since 1985. This is an excellent opportunity for an all-round mechanical technician seeking a long-term position within a busy workshop.

Benefits:

The Vehicle Technician role offers a salary of £28,000 to £40,000 per year, depending on experience.

Varied workload covering cars, vans and commercial vehicles.
Monday to Thursday and Saturday working pattern, with potential for a Monday to Thursday arrangement following a successful interview.
Flexible start and finish times around the usual 9.00am to 6.00pm working hours.
Opportunity to join a growing workshop with plans for continued development and expansion.Duties of a Vehicle Technician:

As part of the Vehicle Technician position, carry out routine servicing and maintenance on cars and vans.
Diagnose and repair a wide range of mechanical faults.
Complete brake repairs, clutch replacements and engine-related repairs.
Investigate and resolve faults using suitable diagnostic methods.
Work on commercial vehicles and used cars to a high standard.
Complete allocated jobs efficiently and independently.
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
Deliver reliable workmanship that supports excellent customer service.
Take responsibility for jobs without requiring regular supervision or referral to the owner.Requirements:

To be considered for Vehicle Technician, you should have at least five years’ experience as an all-round mechanical technician.
Broad understanding of servicing, repairs, diagnostics and mechanical fault finding.
Confidence working independently on cars, vans and commercial vehicles.
Ability to diagnose problems accurately and resolve them efficiently.
Reliable, professional and hardworking approach.
Strong attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work.
Long-term commitment to developing your career within an independent workshop.
