Vehicle Technician - Salisbury

Salary: Around £38,977 basic salary with performance-related bonus providing on-target earnings around £44,000+ per annum.
Hours: 45-hour working week, Monday to Friday with 1 in 2 Saturdays, 8:00am-1:00pm.
Benefits: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, life assurance, pension scheme, and brand training, amongst others.Our client, one of the UK's largest automotive dealer groups, is currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Technician for their premium franchise-approved car dealership located in Salisbury. 

Reporting to the Service Manager, and working part of a friendly team, your key responsibilities will include:

Carrying out servicing and maintenance on a range of vehicles, including diagnostic, warranty and repair work, supported by digital write-ups and job card completion.
Conducting electronic vehicle health checks (eVHCs) in line with our client's standards.
Completing EV work (if qualified) and hydraulic repairs safely and efficiently, working in line with manufacturer standards.
Using your expertise in diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve hard-to-find issues.
If suitably qualified, assisting Apprentice Vehicle Technicians with development where needed
If suitably qualified, supporting less skilled Vehicle Technicians in diagnosing all types of issues, guiding them to be highly efficient.To be eligible, you will need to be qualified to IMI/NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair as a minimum. You will need to hold a UK driving license with minimal points, be a committed individual and be a good team player who has a "mentor mindset" where they're happy to share their knowledge and expertise with the revst of the workshop when applicable. You must be able to produce high-quality work in a busy franchise-approved dealership environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team. An active MOT licence would be beneficial, but is non-essential.
