We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor to join their established automotive bodyshop in Kirkby-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. The Vehicle Damage Assessor role offers a competitive salary of up to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience, with a typical working week of Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours, with flexibility around working hours. This position provides an excellent opportunity to progress within a busy accident repair environment, working closely with customers, insurers, and the workshop team to ensure high-quality repair standards are maintained.

Career development opportunitiesDuties of a Vehicle Damage Assessor:
Conduct thorough assessments of vehicle damage following accidents
Prepare accurate repair estimates using industry-standard estimating systems
Evaluate repair methods, parts requirements, and labour times
Liaise with insurance companies and relevant parties to facilitate repair approvals
Communicate effectively with customers regarding damage, repair timelines, and progress
Collaborate with workshop colleagues to develop feasible repair plans
Monitor ongoing repairs and adjust estimates as additional damage is identified
Ensure all repairs align with manufacturer and industry standards
Maintain accurate records, ensuring all systems are up to date
Contribute to delivering vehicles to customers within agreed timescales
Uphold high levels of customer service throughout the repair processRequirements of a Vehicle Damage Assessor:
Proven experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor within a bodyshop or accident repair setting
Strong knowledge of vehicle repair techniques and accident damage assessment
Experience in producing precise repair estimates
Good understanding of insurance repair procedures
Excellent communication and customer service skills
High attention to detail and organisational ability
Capacity to manage multiple vehicles and priorities effectively
Professional, proactive, and team-focused approach
