Description:
We require a VAT Specialist to start in Chiswick for a 12 month FTC working for a leading pharmaceutical business who are passionate about advancing healthcare. Brilliant opportunity to build a career with a very respected client, with an opportunity for career progression.
Salary: £50,000- £65,000 per annum depending on experience
Location: Chiswick, London
Shift Type: Monday - Friday (9 am to 5 PM)
Key Requirements:
* Develop and implement a plan to manage the Value-Added Tax (VAT) for the entire group.
* Review existing operations in UK, US, Europe and Asia to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with VAT legislation.
* Continuous improvement of the group's VAT processes to ensure they are fit for purpose and operating efficiently.
* Manage the statutory VAT reporting requirement for the different jurisdictions in which we are registered, including UK, Ireland, Belgium and Germany.
* Advising/training internal stakeholders, providing sound advice for existing operations and advising on new bids.
* Communicating VAT risks succinctly and clearly to non-finance colleagues.
Successful candidates must have valid:
* Bachelor’s degree (in a finance field preferred)
* Accounting designation (ACA, ATT, CTA, ACCA) preferred or qualified by experience
* Proficient in Xero accounting, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar
* Computer Literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Effective Verbal and written communication skills
