Pertemps are currently recruiting for van drivers for our public sector client to be based in the Edinburgh area supporting a busy waste and cleansing department.
Location: Edinburgh East
Hours of Work: 4 days on 4 days off with 45min break
Rate of Pay: £12.81 - £14.35 per hour depending on shift pattern
Temporary ongoing work
Starting as soon as possible
Duties to Include:
Driving the relevant vehicles (cage vehicle, litter press, hako, sweeper)
Working as part of a team
Heavy lifting - moving and loading wheelie bins, assisting with special uplifts
Undertaking the appropriate vehicle checks and paperwork
General street cleaning duties (sweeping, litter picking, weeding)Essential requirements:
Valid Driving Licence
Maximum of 6 points on your licenceSuccessful candidates will:
Be flexible
Be reliable
Have excellent knowledge on driving around Edinburgh
Be health and safety conscious
Have good customer service skills
Have previous driving experience
Work outdoors in all weather
