About Accessia

Do you want to be in at the early stages of a technology company that’s got huge ambition and vision, as well as the backing to make it happen? At Accessia, we’re building hardware and software to enable building operators to secure their buildings, gain insights, and elevate the at-work experience for frictionless collaboration.

The team who founded Accessia in 2021 comprises product leads, engineering leads, and investors, who have worked together for over fifteen years. Our previous company sold for $700 million, and others have sold for $387 million and $270 million. Today, we’re at over 30 employees with a mix of marketing, design, finance, hardware engineering, software engineering, and product.

What we can offer you

The chance to learn and grow in an organisation with a strong culture of design thinking where decisions stem from ‘are we solving our target customers’ problems?' and ‘does this idea address the user story?’

The opportunity to be a key part of designing the user experience throughout the product, spanning mobile apps to web to physical hardware

The means to help you find out what kind of designer you want to be, discover what you’d like to learn more about, and access to the training to support your growth

Regular socials doing everything from axe-throwing to dinners out
When you join us, we’ll have launched into the market and embarking on the next phase of our growth as we internalise real customer feedback and needs. Join us at this early stage and be a part of a company disrupting a traditional industry through our unparalleled combination of product, story, vision, and execution.

Location

We have a gorgeous new office in the heart of London (Temple) – less than a 10-minute walk to Covent Garden, and a 5-minute walk to the Thames for lunchtime strolls

The office is our primary location for collaboration amongst our engineering, design, and product teams, but if you want to work from Scotland for a week, spend time at home to focus, or work odd hours for something going on in your life, that's not a problem. We believe in hybrid working for both the benefits of meeting in person regularly and the flexibility to be elsewhere when you don't want or need to be in the office.

How to apply

Send us your CV, portfolio, and an optional cover letter (if you feel your CV doesn't tell the whole story). If your CV and portfolio shows a talent for UX design, we’ll then invite you to a video call. In this you will present your portfolio, demonstrating how your skills as a designer have allowed you to understand the problems users face and how you created a solution which solves their problems.

If that goes well, we’ll invite you to a second round, in person, including a design session and interviews with leaders in the product, design and engineering teams, as well as the chance to see the team in their natural environment and to chat with our CEO over lunch.

Over the course of the day, you'll have the chance to show how you approach a problem, including how you work with product management and engineering, and we'll have the chance to show you how Accessia will give you the opportunity to produce amazing work. By the end of the interview, we hope that you can be as confident that you want to work for us as we'll be that we’d like to hire you
