Utility Surveyor - Essex
£30,000 - £50,000 DOE

Our client offers professional surveying services, experts in 3D topographical, GPR, Utility mapping, Cable detection, Utility locationg and CCTV Drainage surveys. They are a trusted survey provider for architects, builders, contractors, planners and numerous other divisions & secotrs across the UK and Europe.

Due to continued success they're looking to expand their utility surveying team. The ideal applicant would have minimum 2 years' minimum experience of producing detailed underground utility surveys and must be able to demonstrate experience in the use of EML and GPR technology to produce a detailed utility mapping survey.

Role Description

Carry out site surveys as required by the work instruction
Undertake thorough, investigative utility surveys and conduct paperwork in accordance with company procedures
Liaising with other site surveyors, contractors, suppliers, clients
Create Utility Survey Reports
Carry out appropriate quality control checks before drawings issued to customer
Mentor and train less experienced surveyors
Gathering data to produce mapping information of underground and overground supply services.
Complete core on site detecting and mapping activities required for underground utility surveys including Ground Penetrating Radar (high and low frequency), GPR in Mark-out Mode, EML methods, drainage surveys.
Leading and coordinating field teams on site
Overseeing technical aspects of projects to ensure quality delivery
Ability to undertake PAS128 surveysSkills & Attributes

Previous experience working as a Utility Surveyor, (Supervisory experience desriable, not essential)
Advanced skills in the use of Electromagnetic and Ground Penetrating Radar equipment.
Good knowledge and understanding of utility provider drawings
Excellent knowledge and experience of underground utility mapping and GPR
Knowledge of Topographical Surveying equipment beneficial but not essential
Experience working across a wide variety of environments and on complex surveys
Ability to work away from home occasionally
Previous experience in post-processing GPR data is desirable
NVQ Level 3 or 5 qualification is beneficial but not essential.
CSCS qualification is beneficial but not essential In return our client will offer:
