Stratton Mills is an employment agency that provides Fashion & Manufacturing Personnel around the UK. We have an excellent opportunity for Upholstery Sewing Machinists in Chard. Successful candidates will be offered full-time shifts permanently.
• Products: Headboards, sofa covers, cushions curtains, Pub or bar booths
• Salary: £12.00 per hour
• Hours: Full-time; Mon-Thursday, 7.30 am to 4.30 pm, Friday 7.30 am to 1.30 pm (40 hours/week)
• Permanent contract
• Immediate start
• Location: Chard, TA20, United Kingdom
DUTIES FOR THE SEWING MACHINIST ROLE:
• Follow operating instructions for Industrial Sewing Machines: Flatbed and Overlocker
• Complete requirements for sewing garments and achieve daily production targets.
• Draw threads through needles and adjust machine functions to meet the requirements of the sewing project.
IDEAL SEWING MACHINIST CANDIDATE:
• Good attention to detail, excellent hand-eye coordination, hardworking and efficient.
• Previous experience in operating Industrial Sewing Machines: Flatbed & Overlock
• Experience in sewing on heavy-duty materials: Heavy-duty weight, leather (secondary), Velvet, Cotton, Leather, Faux Letter, Linen, Polyester, Wool, Brocade, Chiffon, and Damask.
