Our client is a prestigious manufacturer of luxury soft-furnishings and joinery, catering to leading interior designers and architects worldwide. Their workshop in Leicester is a hub of craftsmanship, housing skilled departments specialising in carpentry, lacquer, joinery, upholstery, fabric cutting, and sewing.

Job Summary

In line with their ongoing growth, our client is seeking an exceptionally skilled and experienced upholsterer to join their dynamic workshop team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in upholstering high-end luxury furniture and possess a keen eye for detail, particularly with contemporary upholstered furniture.

Key Responsibilities

* Engage in a variety of upholstery projects including deep-buttoned sofas, studded detailing, fully upholstered headboards, and bespoke soft furnishing products.

* Work from detailed specifications provided by the Production department.

* Collaborate with team members, other departments, and team leaders throughout the production process.

* Maintain meticulous attention to detail and quality control at all times.

* Conduct individual quality checks on all completed items.

* Complete work sheets and digital work registers accurately.

* Handle some manual aspects of the production process.

Required Skills and Experience

* Extensive experience with high-end and luxury upholstered furniture.

* Proficiency in hand stitching.

* Exceptional attention to detail.

* Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet deadlines.

* Professional and reliable demeanor.
